THE VALENTINE DIARIES
The day after Valentine's Day 2003, I went out to look at a
horse with a friend of mine. I could barely look at the horse I was so
mesmerized with a particular puppy. She had "I am Sean's puppy" practically
written across her forehead, so I made the command decision to take her home.
She snoozed (and farted!) most of the way back to town in my
friend's car. We stopped at all the important places...the vet for a checkup and
her first shots (which she slept through) and to the local pet store to get
appropriately accessorized. Then I brought her home...

"I love Sean...he's nice and full of
cuddles and treats"
We weren't sure if Spanky would get along with such an
exuberant little lady, but he has surprised me by being incredibly gentle and
tolerant. Although after she'd been here 24 hours, he'd growl at her when she
bounded up and tried to steal his chewie. I think the two of them will be pretty
good friends once they figure each other out!
After the grand unveiling, it was time for dinner...

"Mmmmm....a bowl of food all to myself!" |

"Can't forget to splash around in my water!" |
Then there were things to play with...

"So ferocious I'm blurry. Grrrrr!" |

"Oh yeah, that's the stuff" |
And on the second day she snoozed some more...(and Tara
remembered to turn on the flash)

"Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
