Snails are an easy subject for me. They come out every time it rains, and they're consistent...so I should be able to chronicle my improvements as a photographer using them as a benchmark.

I was bored and wanted to check out how the horizontal arm on my tripod worked. Pretty darn well, I must say! It's a bit of a challenge to get in there and frame a shot when your subjects are moving around (albeit slowly), and you're leaning waaaay out over the tripod, but I really like it. And the remote sure comes in handy, too :-)
