These are my first ever photos
with my brand spankin' new Canon EOS 20D. I am utterly and completely in love
with this super cool piece of kit.
(None of these photos have been retouched or
digitally manipulated in any way. They have only been cropped and resized.)

The 1st EVER photo.
The detail just amazes me. |

Mini pansies in my front garden.
Check out the water droplets! |

A solitary dandelion.
If you can't beat 'em; join 'em. |

A full size pansy.
From a planter by the front door. |

White Nancy leaf.
The wind was blowing really hard, so it's out of focus,
but you can still see the hairs. Wow! |
These Valentine photos were all taken on the sports setting. I
can't tell you how fabulous it is to be able to do 5fps...I'll never miss out on
the action again!
I am totally in awe of the detail it picks up even as she's
doing Mach 9 around the yard. Her hair and nose look so real...hell, you can see
her toenails in photo 4.
I say it again...WOW!

Today was kind of gloomy and not
very photo inspiring, but I did manage to convince my favourite Mr. Squirrel to
pose for me. He comes and suns himself on the garage roof outside my office
window everyday. Not much sun today, so it gave him some time to sit and reflect
on squirrely life :-)

Then the sky got really interesting, so I went back
outside.

A stunningly gorgeous day!

Today is subtitled "Man, I need
a macro lens....and a monopod". I have got to be one of the shakiest people on
Earth. Although, I *was* crouching down and our coffee pot *is* broken, so those
are my excuses! :-)

We have snails on leaves... |

And snails on stones... |

You are getting sleepy! |

C'mon out, Mr. Snail... |

Don't be shy... |

Ahh..that's better! |

I didn't even notice this little guy until
later this afternoon when I got inside and transferred the images off the
camera, so he is all out of focus. That just goes to show you how cool this
camera is!

And because I absolutely adore the textures
here...I give you tree moss!
