I am the proud new owner of a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens. It's a wonderful lens...the images are so crisp! But the learning curve is steep :-)

My first attempt with the lens wasn't what I'd call a resounding success....hardly a success at all, really. None of the photos I took of our resident spiders, nor of the snail I found napping on the Camellia, were worth showing. It's embarrassing how poorly I deal with highlights. Blown out highlights are my nemesis!
